StandOUT

StandOUT initiatives support our overall goal of creating an inclusive environment where all our people feel respected, valued and included.

When individuals can bring their whole, authentic selves to work, they can unleash their potential and work more purposefully.

Deloitte is a firm that proudly champions diversity and inclusion; we'rethey're taking active measures to build a culture where everyone is respected and provided equal choice and opportunity, regardless of their background or identity.

Creating a workplace where everyone feels empowered to be who they are increases employee engagement, drives creativity and innovation, and gives Deloitte the edge to deliver more for our clients.

What we do

StandOUT initiatives support our overall goal of creating an inclusive environment where all our people feel respected, valued and included. The StandOUT Advisory and Working Groups meet regularly to coordinate exciting events, training and awareness sessions throughout the firm.

We are proud to be an LGBTI+ inclusive employer. Find out more on Inclusive Employers.

Our policies are inclusive and apply to all staff, regardless of their sexuality, gender identity or gender expression. We actively encourage staff to express the gender identity they are comfortable with. This includes their choice of business clothes and access to the facilities they feel comfortable using (including all-gender restrooms), preferred/known as name, preferred pronouns and dedicated paid leave for staff who undertake gender affirmation.

Same-sex couples can access the same partner and child-related leave as other staff. Some examples of this are Parental leave and Carer's leave for all the following:

  • birth
  • adoption
  • fostering
  • surrogacy

During the year, we celebrate days of significance like 12 Days of StandOUT, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), and Wear It Purple Day. Additionally, we are involved in other community events and initiatives.
